North Vancouver Water Parks
When the weather turns super sunny, there’s nothing that kids enjoy more than splashing about all day at a water park. Something about it just seems to bring endless moments of joy, and on top of that, it also helps to keep them cool on those scorching summer days. If you want to know where the best North Vancouver Water Parks are to entertain the whole clan, then look no further. I’ve taken the work out of it for you and come up with my top three recommendations.
1. Shipyards Water Park
My top pick for North Vancouver Water Parks has got to be the park that is part of the up-and-coming Shipyards development in Lower Lonsdale. This new development is not only close to a ton of other great family attractions, shops and eateries, but there is also plenty of convenient parking facilities close by.
They have a brand new, eagerly awaited, 8,000 square foot splash zone as well as a plethora of other spray and fun water features for all to enjoy for hours on end. There are padded raised placements throughout the park, so you can feel content in the knowledge that your little ones are having fun and being safe at the same time.

2. Mahon Spray Park
Now that the summer season is upon us, Mahon Spray Park is a fantastic way to cool down and have a great time with the family. A fun-packed day out can be had by all, with the younger kids’ play area separated from the older kids’ activity zones. There’s a variety of spray jets and as well as a playground for those who just want to play without the spray.
There is plenty of public transport available to get there, as well as parking available on adjacent streets or in the grassy parking lot at the corner of Jones Avenue and 18th St. West.
If you want to take a packed lunch, there are loads of picnic tables dotted around the park and a ton of lush grassy areas to chill and read a book whilst the kids burn off some steam. If you’re looking for a North Vancouver Water Park to suit all ages, Mahon is a solid choice.
3. Viewlynn Water Park
Last but not least of my picks when it comes to the top North Vancouver Water Parks is Viewlynn. On a hot day, there is ample shade available here, and the reviews really speak for themselves when it comes to the facilities and atmosphere. It’s a wonderful and safe environment for the kids to play in, with a great community feel.
Viewlynn is super well maintained as water parks go, and there are also basketball courts, handy on-site washrooms and a great forest area to explore and get out of the sun. Parking close by is convenient, and the local neighbourhood is friendly. It might not be the biggest water park on my list, but that doesn’t mean that your kids can’t enjoy hours of fun here!
Make sure to pack your sunscreen, suitable footwear and your towels and always remember to stay hydrated when you’re frolicking out and about in the sun all day.
