While having kids tends to add a new sweetness to life, it's also known to make to-do lists long, organization difficult, and priorities clear. You're a new mama, whether for the first or fifth time. You don't have time to find a great printer, upload photos, pick out frames and create albums. That's why I do this for you, and you can order your gorgeous wall art or album straight from your online gallery. I'll even help you measure the space during our session so you know the perfect size to order!

From that moment of sheer excitement when the pregnancy test comes back positive, to the first time you hold your baby in your arms and your heart almost explodes. Motherhood is an amazing adventure. I would be thrilled to document this amazing next season for you! Just send me an email an we can start the process!
It's (almost) never too early to book! The best time to reserve your date on my calendar is as soon as you know your due date. I'll write it in my calendar and make sure I have some space around the date for your session! Once your contract is signed and your retainer sent, I'm yours.
They're never required, but always a great option to add on to your newborn package, and a super fun way to celebrate the anticipation that comes with waiting for baby!
Due dates are really just estimates. Babe will show up when he or she decides! Just shoot me an email or text when you're announcing baby's birth to your friends and family and we can figure out a time that works for our session!
It's here! The day we've been waiting for! Shower for probably the first time since you've given birth, throw on some makeup and a cute outfit and I'll show up at your home ready to capture the beauty in your amazing new reality.
I can hardly wait to show you all the amazing photos from your session, so I'll throw a few sneak peeks your way within a day or two. Within 3 weeks you'll receive a full gallery, and we can start designing your album!
I so clearly remember the moment each of my sweet children were laid on my chest and I looked into their tiny face for the first time and thought I would explode with love, despite what they had just put me through. I also remember well waking up from a stupor of sleep-deprivation, night feeds and dirty diapers when my baby was about 5 months old and thinking... how did she get SO BIG?!
As a Vancouver Lifestyle Newborn Photographer and a soon-to-be mom of three, I help new parents preserve these early memories because I know how quickly they pass. My lifestyle approach to newborn photography means you get unposed, real images of your new family. I come to your home to do it, so you don't have to rush to get everyone dressed up and out of the house while you're one week post-partum only to arrive and find baby has pooped through the onesie you picked. I capture your new life as it is: unposed, raw, real.
And since your photos weren't made to get lost on a hard drive somewhere, I offer custom albums, framing and gallery wrap canvases. You're a busy parent and you don't need the hassle of figuring out where and how to print and display your photos, so I make it easy to order, straight through your gallery.

I do! Your photos are like personalized art. They aren't meant to be stored on a computer where no one looks at them, but to be displayed in your living room, made into an album for your coffee table, or put on a Christmas card to send to friends and family. Because I know how busy life gets, you can either order these through me as add-ons to your package, or you can do it online, straight from your gallery with the click of a button.
I absolutely do! In fact, I have a full blog post about what YOU can do to make sure your photos turn out perfectly (you can find it here). I also offer a small client closet of dresses that suit the lifestyle genre, which you can choose to use for any session. If you prefer to use your own clothes, I'm happy to provide styling tips and outfit suggestions prior to our session should you like them!
Yes I do! Traditional payments are 50% due at the time of booking (within a week) and 50% due 24 hours before your session date. But, if it's easier for you, I can split payments in three or four equal parts. Just let me know what you prefer, and we can make it work!
Maternity sessions are so much fun and are such a great chance for us to get to know each other better and celebrate this beautiful season of waiting. I highly recommend them, and for that reason, maternity sessions are discounted when you book a newborn session as well!
Travelling is my first love, and I'm thrilled to do it for your session! Whether it's the Island, the Okanagan, or even further afield, I want to be there to capture your day. However, for locations more than 2 hours outside Vancouver there will be a travel and lodging fee if applicable.
Babies are fragile, and I totally understand that you might be concerned about your child's safety. Because my style is unposed, I don't wrap or pose baby in any way that might be dangerous to them. In fact, during our sessions, I may give you a hand with a nice tight swaddle, but generally I touch baby as little as possible. I let you and your partner snuggle your little one, ask you to lay them on the bed or in the position I'm looking for. I also never enter a home if I'm unwell. Your little ones immune system is still developing, and it's better to delay our session than risk passing along a cold.
Back in May, The Provincial Health Officer gave the go ahead for photographers and other professionals to enter their clients homes. Of course, it's my first priority that you, your family, and particularly your baby, stay healthy. Because of this, all sessions are postponed if either you, someone in your family, I or someone in my family shows any signs of sickness. On top of this, I'm taking extra precautions to make sure you and your family are safe. I wash my hands upon entering all my clients homes; I wear a mask to all my in-home sessions; I wash all swaddles and newborn outfits in my clients closet prior to and after each new session should you choose to use these; I do not touch baby unless I absolutely must, but ask you or your partner to swaddle and place baby. If you still aren't sure you're comfortable with an in-home session during this pandemic, I do offer outdoor lifestyle newborn sessions as well!
Newborn sessions are up to two hours of camera time, in your own home within 3 weeks (roughly) of baby's birth.
