Best Waterparks in Vancouver
After the cooler winter and spring months, kids across Vancouver can’t wait to get out and about and make the most of the warmer summer weather. One of the best ways to celebrate the start of the summer season is to visit one of the best waterparks in Vancouver, which are great for kids and adults alike. Keep reading as I share some of my top waterpark recommendations for the Vancouver area.
Granville Island Splash Water Park
If you don’t want to travel too far for your day out to one of the best waterparks in Vancouver, opt to visit Granville Island Splash Water Park in Vancouver. You can enjoy your visit here as part of a day out to Granville Island, and it’s a great place to cool off during the hotter weather. Make sure you bring a picnic with you if you are looking to make a full day out of this visit, so that your kids remain hydrated and well fed all day long.
Big Splash Water Slide Park
This seven-acre outdoor water park is located in Tsawwassen, so it makes for a great trip outside of Vancouver. We love the variety of slides on offer here, as well as splash pools and spray pads for younger kids. It’s one of the best waterparks in Vancouver, thanks to the constant additions to its attractions, such as the new Boomerango slide. This is the only slide of its type in Western Canada, so it’s one that you won’t want to miss during your day out here.
John Lawson Park
For a more relaxed waterpark experience, head to John Lawson Park in West Vancouver. It’s located by the Centennial Seawall, where adults will appreciate the beautiful views over the water. Take a picnic with you to enjoy on the site between exploring the water attractions on offer here. Highlights include climbing structures and a pirate ship, which offer both wet and dry fun for kids.
Cultus Lake Waterpark
Another of the best waterparks in Vancouver is Cultus Lake Waterpark, which attracts visitors from Vancouver and the surrounding area. You’ll want to make a full day out of your visit here, as there’s so much to see and do. Make sure you pick a hot day to visit here, as you’ll be able to enjoy endless rides on the slides and attractions that are on offer.
Any of these best waterparks in Vancouver will offer kids or teens endless hours of fun this summer. A visit to a waterpark is a tradition that many families in Vancouver adopt each summer, and it’s something that your kids will talk about for months to come. Keep an eye on the weather forecast before your trip, to ensure you pick a day that will allow you to enjoy all of the slides and attractions on offer at any of these waterparks. I hope this summer is another one for your family to enjoy making memories together after a busy year at school and work for everyone.
