The last weekend in June I had the opportunity to capture a very special Maple Ridge Baby photography session. My good friend had just welcomed her 4th beautiful little baby, and I was thrilled to come capture the love and chaos in their home as their family expanded once again. Not only was it amazing to be able to celebrate with her and her family, but it was also just nice to be able to finally go into a friends home and feel somewhat normal after such a long period of social distancing.

Her fourth little one is the third boy in a very tender, affectionate and fun family. His older siblings are some of my kids’ closest friends, and I know their home can get loud as it is, but the volume level comes from a lot of laughter and excited little voices. Their daughter in particular is very lovey-dovey. She smothered this little guy in kisses and hugs throughout our whole session.

Little Levi’s Maple Ridge Baby photography session was a breath of fresh air, and his birth came at just the right time. Until late in her pregnancy, COVID restrictions left a lot of unknowns. Fortunately, these regulations relaxed just in time for this little guy to join his eagerly awaiting family and he came into this world exactly as hoped and planned. I was thrilled that things let up in time for me to be able to join them in their home for newborn photos with much less risk than there would have been only a month ago.

When I arrived at their home for our Maple Ridge Baby photography session, Grandma was there staying with them and the boys were happily playing lego. We spent a few minutes catching up and then, when I pulled out my camera and started photographing baby, big sister was right there, wanting to hold and touch her newest baby brother. We made her wait a few moments so I could take a few of little Levi on his own, and then brought the kids back in. They were so excited to be able to snuggle the baby, and so completely smitten with him, that I hardly ever had to tell them to look at the baby. All they wanted to do was gaze at their little brother, hold his little hands and kiss his little cheeks. Little Levi, you are one loved little guy. Welcome to the world!
