Midwives Vancouver: Pre-Natal Care

Vancouver Midwife practices for the expectant mama.

More and more expectant mother’s these days are vying for midwife care during their pregnancy over maternity clinics. I personally have now used midwife care in all three of my pregnancies and have had great experiences with the more hands-on, personal model of care they provide. If this is something you think will be beneficial as you wait for baby, I want to help you find the care you need. I’ve compiled a list of Midwives in Vancouver based on the locations they serve so you can easily find a midwife to walk alongside you as you prepare for the adventure of motherhood.

All of these midwives in Vancouver will attend home births should a low-risk expectant mama choose to go that route. For those of you thinking of a hospital birth, this list includes which hospitals each practice has medical privilege in so you can choose which is best for you.

While this list is not exhaustive, I hope it provided enough information for you to get started on choosing a care provider for your pregnancy if you haven’t yet. As I mentioned above, I personally have chosen the care of a midwife for all three of my pregnancies and am so grateful for the experiences and support they have provided through what have so far been three very different pregnancies and two very different birth experiences.

Now, once you’ve chosen the right care provider, early in your pregnancy is a great time to choose the right photographer to capture your maternity and newborn session!
