North Vancouver Photographer: Family Session
There really is no better spot for a session with your North Vancouver photographer than the beach. I was so excited when Andrea contacted me in search of a family session that had a serious West Coast vibe. She had been inspired by a beach family session I did back in the spring and wanted a similar feeling to her family images, and I was so excited to bring her vision to life!
Andrea’s story was a familiar one in this day and age. She and her partner has welcomed their first child in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and missed their opportunity at newborn images. However, she also had the added complication that both she and her partner are from Ireland. So, not only did she miss that rite of passage as a new parent, she also missed the days of passing around her new baby, watching her family members cuddle her close and fall in love. She was looking for a North Vancouver photographer to capture some memories of her, her partner and her baby girl to share with family back home, so they’d have something to hold onto as well.

Being a COVID mom myself, I was so happy to be able to work with them and create stunning art pieces for their home and their families.
We looked around the Shore for the best spot to really capture those West Coast vibes Andrea was hoping for. In the end, we found a private beach that made for the perfect backdrop for this sweet family session.
We had so much fun planning this session, and to make it even more special, her mom and sister were able to fly in the day before! I told her to bring them along, and she and her family now have special memories of the first time they met her daughter.
As a North Vancouver Photographer, it’s always my hope that my clients love their images so much that they want to enjoy them each and every day, which is why I leave them all with fully finished art pieces, ready to hang. At our reveal session, this family chose two pieces for their walls, along with a handful of table top art, and I can hardly wait to get these pieces into their hands and on their wall.
