Maternity Photographer Vancouver
As a Maternity Photographer in Vancouver, I’ve found many stunning locations for my clients to celebrate the waiting season as they prepare to become parents. Earlier this month, I had the privilege of photographing an extremely special session at a location that really made all my other settings pale in comparison – on a glacier fed lake, only accessible by Helicopter.
I was so excited this summer when I was approached by SKY Helicopters in Pitt Meadows to start a partnership. The opportunity to take my clients on the adventure of a lifetime, and get them some amazing images, was thrilling. The best thing about being a Maternity Photographer in Vancouver is that we really are blessed with some amazing views that photographers all over the world would die for. But, they aren’t always easy or even possible for a pregnant mama to get to.
A helicopter changes everything. As long as your care provider clears you for a short 30 minute flight, the sky is quite literally the limit for a maternity session. This gorgeous session took place at Consolation Lake, just about a half hour North of Pitt Meadows. Not only were the colours of the lake breath-taking, but we had the whole place to ourselves as it’s completely inaccessible other than by helicopter.
SKY Helicopters did mention that they aren’t able to guarantee any specific location as their landing in certain places is dependent on so many different things. But really there is no bad option. Whether you like lake views, sweeping vistas or backcountry, there are so many options that are opened up with a helicopter.
There’s nothing more special than welcoming a new baby into the family. I love capturing the excitement and anticipation as a family waits to meet their newest member. There’s really nothing better than to be able to provide a fantastic view and a once-in-a-lifetime experience along with it!
