About Tots and Tunes

Tots and Tunes is a center that was started by a mom who wanted to find a way to help parents while using her background in music. Barbara Harrison is a lifelong North Vancouver resident who has classical training in music and dancing. She has sung the national anthem for NHL and CFL games, plus she’s been featured as a vocalist on a handful of television shows. When she was on maternity leave after her first child was born, she decided to open up Tots and Tunes. She opened up the newest location on Welch Street in July 2024. This gives you a local spot to connect with other nearby families!
Services
Tots and Tunes offers a schedule full of classes you and your child will love. Their namesake Tots and Tunes class is for kids 0-5. You will have a fun way to get your little one involved in music right from the very beginning! Your child will get to play along with an instrument. Thus boosting their hand-eye coordination and giving them a sense of belonging. Meanwhile, the songs are going to use repetitive patterns that will engage their emotional, intellectual, language, and memory skills. The classes are available in 10-week sessions, with each class lasting up to 45 minutes. They also include a special social session where you can connect with other parents over coffee and snacks.
In addition to this class, they offer Tots and Tutus classes that teach your child the basics of dance and a Baby Sign Language class that teaches your child a new way to communicate!
Specialty
One thing I really love about Tots and Tunes is how they prioritize moms. They have a Mama Workout class that lets you bring your baby (or leave them behind if you’d prefer!). Then you can work out with other parents. They also have Tots Play, where your child will be free to explore while you socialize with other parents.
