Best Baby stores in Vancouver
You are nesting hard. Baby is coming and there is so much to do and buy. But your baby deserves the best of the best. The highest quality clothing, toys and accessories. Maybe you’ve checked out Babies R Us and Buy Buy Baby and you just aren’t impressed with what they have to offer. I know that feeling. So, I want to share with you a list of the best baby stores in Vancouver. These stores carry locally made and high-quality items, with some of the best and most fashionable brands around. To make it even better, the vast majority are locally owned businesses, so you can make sure your baby has the cutest and best products, while also supporting a local Vancouver business.
I’m a little bit biased, but Lagoon Baby is my favourite baby and children’s store of all time. With two locations in Tsawwassen and Maple Ridge, no matter where you are in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, you can find a store not too far away. And if you’re out in Hope or Chilliwack and just can’t make the trek, they also offer online shopping.
Not only are the staff amazing, they carry a ton of local and unique brands that are hard to find elsewhere. I can’t go in there to pick up one thing. I always end up leaving with at least a few extra items. They are definitely the best place to go if you are planning on cloth diapering your little one. They carry so many sustainable brands and offer everything you need if you want baby products that are environmentally friendly.
And just as a special little extra, if you decide to journey out to the Maple Ridge location, you’ll see some Kindred Photography art work on their walls.
This is my second favourite of the best baby stores in Vancouver. It has three locations as well as an online store. One location is in Langley, another in Vancouver and one in North Van. While they also have a lot of local brands for clothing, toys and accessories as well, they really are the best for gear. If you’re in the market for a car seat, stroller or high chair, I highly recommend this store.
This is another store I can’t go into without leaving with more things than I came in for. Luckily for me, it’s about 30 minutes away so I don’t make the trek as often as I’d like to. They also have a great rewards program where you receive points for every dollar you spend, which can be redeemed for credit later.
Westcoast Kids is one-stop shop for pretty much everything you’ll need for baby. Just like to other two shops, their online store has a tab specifically for items made in Canada. They have a whole ton of local options for nursery furniture, such as cribs, dressers and gliders. You can also set up an online baby registry with Westcoast kids.
This one’s a little less local, originating in Ontario, but still a Canadian store with a lot of unique and local products. With two locations locally, in Coquitlam and Kitsilano, it’s another great one-stop shop, with the option to start a registry. This is another great store for high-end strollers, car seats and other gear.
There are a few more out there, but between these four, you can always find unique. quality and locally made products so that you can be sure your baby has the best. I do recommend going to visit the shops in person so you can see and feel the amazing quality in the products they carry, but if you feel like browsing for now, you can find all the links below.
